Share Supply Chain Data with Tive's New Shared Shipments Feature

We're excited to announce the release of one of our most frequently requested features: Shared Shipments. This new feature makes it possible to give a third party read-only access to view and monitor real-time shipment data.

Shared Shipments is an important feature for customers who want to share the benefits of real-time visibility with their partners or end customers. For example, many manufacturers deal with frequent calls from worried customers trying to figure out where their delivery is. Tive gives manufacturers access to that vital data, and with Shared Shipments, the manufacturer can easily share that data directly with the customer. So instead of calling the manufacturer every five minutes frantically trying to find out where the shipment is, the end customer can track their shipment in real time using the Tive tracking link provided by the manufacturer. With the tracking link, the end customer can view details regarding the exact location and condition of the shipment, all without bothering the manufacturer or carriers.

So how exactly does all this work? Setting up a Shared Shipment on the Tive platform is simple. Just navigate to the shipment you want to share, click "Share Shipment", check the box, and copy the link.

Now, you can email the link to your customers, partners, or anyone else who you would like to have read-only access to that shipment's data. And if you ever want to take away access, simply navigate back to that shipment and uncheck the box to deactivate the tracking link.

In addition, the Tive platform makes it easy to configure location- or condition-based alerts for third-parties such as partners or customers. For example, you can set up location-based alerts to send an automatic text message to your customer as soon as a shipment arrives at a particular location, so they know exactly when to expect delivery.
