I'm excited to announce the latest addition to Tive's growing team: our VP Engineering, Amos Benninga.
Amos has worked at a number of startups here in Boston, including BladeLogic, where he was an architect and helped the company grow rapidly, and most recently GrabCAD, where he was responsible for all engineering. GrabCAD was acquired by Stratasys a few years ago and Amos became responsible for all of Stratasys' software engineering.
When we first started talking about hiring a VP Engineering earlier this year, Rob Stevens (our CRO and Co-Founder) had one person in mind: Amos Benninga. Rob had worked at a number of successful companies (including GrabCAD, where he worked directly with Amos), and Amos was his top choice from the start. When I met Amos (after twenty in-person interviews with other candidates), it became clear why: Amos brings a unique mix of technical skills, focused management experience, and warmth to the VP role. He's an amazing fit for the kind of company we want to build.
Tive has an aggressive vision for the future of supply chain, and a set of exciting technical challenges to overcome. We are a software-centric company that works with sensors, cellular connectivity, and massive data sets. We're building tools to give a new level of insight to seasoned professionals who have been thinking about these topics for years. Our solution has to be easy to deploy and use, because supply chain professionals don't have time to read the manual - they want results. We needed a technology leader who gets the hard stuff and the "soft" stuff, and I firmly believe we found him.
Amos, Welcome to Tive.
